P.U.S.H. is an acronym for Peace Using Stress Healing. The name was drawn from the many similarities or shared benefits of the martial arts and yoga. One of those shared benefits is stress reduction. Stress can be very harmful to our bodies. Therefore, engaging in stress-reducing activities is very beneficial. Practicing the martial arts and/or yoga can lead one to an overall state of calm not found in many other physical activities.
Martial arts training can reduce stress, improve focus, improve concentration, improve patience, heighten self-awareness, improve self-discipline, and improve self-confidence, to name a few. Contrary to popular belief, there are many styles/systems of the martial arts, not just "Karate" and "Kung Fu."
YOGA & MEDITATION
The benefits of practicing yoga and meditation are well researched and documented. However, a few of the myriad benefits include but are not limited to the following: Stress reduction, improved strength, improved balance, increased focus, increased flexibility, increased self-awareness, increased self-control, and increased concentration.
